SPOTLIGHT: Cold War Kids.

The Cold War Kids are, for lack of better terminology, enacting a war against us. With their dragging beats and slow yet entirely still jumping rock, they make the paranoia of the forties and fifties into something musical.

Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids are one of the best live acts I’ve seen. Their music translates amazing well to the high energy of a live show, and as they bounce and rock (musically, of course) the singer’s almost whiny but yet powerful voice slides through the guitars and even piano (but you’ll find no classical music here).
Are you looking for music that just makes you twitch your foot, move your head, even sing along? It’s not happy music by any stretch, but it’s beautiful in other (more darker) ways.
